Rehearsal Dinner 101

A rehearsal dinner is a fantastic way to start your formal wedding festivities. It gives you and your fiancé the opportunity to spend bonus quality time with the special people in your life. Here are some tips to making this evening unforgettable.

Location & Food: We love rehearsal dinners that have a totally different vibe than the wedding. For a more casual get together, try a food truck or a BBQ next to the pool. For a more glamorous option, consider hosting the meal at an upscale rooftop bar or art gallery. Keep an open mind and get creative!

Guest List: We recommend inviting immediate family, the wedding party, and any out of town guests. If your wedding is an intimate affair or destination wedding, invite everyone; your guests will make new friends by the time they’re ready to boogie down at your reception.

Wedding Speeches: Most couples choose to feature two or three toasts at their wedding, but we know there are many more guests who would love to say something special to you. Consider setting aside an hour at your rehearsal dinner for toasts so that everyone who would like to give a speech has the opportunity to do so.

Your family and friends are excited to have this time to celebrate a couple they all love so dearly. Giving your guests multiple opportunities to gather together and rejoice with you, will not only make them feel so special, but will also create many amazing memories to be shared for years to come.
