When we were asked to wander into the Hundred Acre Woods to create a woodsy wonderland with Pooh and his friends for Jack’s first birthday, we knew we were in for an adventure. We created an intimate event in the family’s home that delighted both the adults who attended as well as Jack and his friends. Here are some of our favorite highlights from this playful first birthday party.
Greeted by a rustic “Pooh’s house” sign, arboreal accents were added along with lush green plants and vibrant red and yellow flowers. Guests were guided by wooden signs featuring the playful fonts unique to the home of Winnie the Pooh and his friends. The adorable theme was expanded through culinary delights, including an assortment of cupcakes buzzing with bees and a custom cake painted with Pooh and his gang and a banner wishing sweet Jack a ‘Happy Birthday.’
Fun for All
A play corner brimming with Winnie the Pooh themed toys, a bubble machine, and ball pit made Jack and his friends giggle and squeal with excitement. Parents were able to keep an eye on the fun while socializing at tables and enjoying a fantastic live bluegrass band.
Don’t Forget Your Honey Pot
As guests departed, each left with their very own “honey pot” favor bag. Just like in the Hundred Acre Woods, “hunny” was inscribed in gold lettering on each red bag as golden drips of honey poured over the edge. It was the sweetest ending to Jack’s charming first birthday party.
Creating a joyful, sophisticated event that featured small, thoughtful details made the day unforgettable for Jack, his family, and all of their guests. We’d say creating this special celebration for Jack’s first birthday was just as fun as hanging out with Pooh himself. For the full gallery, click here.
